Lynford Hall Hotel
About
This spectacular, dog-friendly, Grade II listed mansion sits among the tranquil surrounds of Thetford Forest in 28 sublime green acres, punctuated by colourful landscaped gardens, breathtaking countryside views and an idyllic lake. Perched as it is in the peaceful bolthole of Mundford (just seven miles from Thetford) Lynford Hall is particularly well suited to walkers and those wanting to escape to a countryside sanctuary of their own. Rooms are spacious and modern, some with free-standing baths, while the Gannon Suite has an eight-seat dining table, perfect for small private dinners served direct to your room.
Many of the Hall’s elegant and surprisingly spacious 38 bedrooms open out to the crisp Norfolk air, making Lynford Hall uncommonly well-suited to social distancing measures. Service is extraordinary, staff are friendly, and each of the new Covid-safety measures are explained before arrival, so guests can plan accordingly. A thorough cleaning regimen is in place throughout the hotel, but for added security, rooms are cleaned only on request for the duration of your stay.
When Lynford Hall’s restaurants and bars are closed due to social distancing restrictions, the busy kitchen remains open and serves its modern bistro-style menu of dinners, lunches and breakfasts directly to your room with a no-contact ‘knock and drop’ service or, if you prefer, you can have dinner al fresco in the suntrap courtyard amid the manor’s attractive gardens.
