About

Taking its name from the co-founder of Lord’s Cricket Ground, the Thomas Lord is a haven of antique cricket paraphernalia — think old cricket bats, caps and prints. All encased in a shabby-chic beamed pub with roaring fires and wooden panelling, that overspills with a warm and inviting atmosphere. And while the Thomas Lord was once little more than a modest village pub, after a recent restoration it now boasts five luxurious cabins with floor-to-ceiling windows, quiet porches, beautiful en suite bathrooms and king-sized beds, all tucked away in the leafy pub garden for ultimate privacy.

Existing accessibility features such as mobile ramp-access and walk-in showers are enhanced by a stringent cleaning schedule, a one-way system and carefully-placed hand sanitisers throughout the property. As well as sanitised and sealed menus, the Thomas Lord offers a clever app solution for hands-free ordering, which can be used to view and order breakfast, lunch and dinner, all lovingly crafted from local ingredients, some of which are plucked directly from the hotel’s vegetable garden just moments from the kitchen. If you’d prefer to stay out in the fresh air, when the weather’s right, head out into the Thomas Lord gardens, dressed with colourful hydrangeas and pretty borders, for a sublime, al fresco, dog-friendly dining spot, complete with an outdoor pizza oven, and perfect for those relaxed evenings in the country air.
