Woodlands Lodge Hotel

Boasting three acres of private gardens and direct access into the forest, Woodlands Lodge is an ideal retreat for laidback countryside getaways. The characterful house, a former royal hunting lodge, has 17 mostly dog-friendly rooms and suites. Some rooms have romantic four-poster beds and beamed ceilings, while the junior suite has a fabulous private conservatory with direct access to the gardens.

The bright hallways and cosy shared spaces of the Woodlands Hotel are occasionally punctuated by hand sanitisers and floor guidelines to help guests keep to social distancing. The interiors of the hotel are deep cleaned every day, but once you're checked in, your room can only be cleaned at your request.

The one AA Rosette Cattle Grid Restaurant is open but serving a reduced menu of English staples crafted from some of the New Forest’s finest ingredients. And while the restaurant’s chic dining space has been rearranged to make it as safe as possible, one can also reserve room service, and enjoy al fresco dinners in the gardens. Breakfasts and lunches can be served as a charming picnic directly to your room, should you prefer.

To ensure that the Woodlands remains a stunning and safe retreat for all of its guests and staff, guests will have their temperatures taken on arrival, and may be asked to reschedule if there are any issues.
